Women by Women: Works from UMW’s Permanent Collection

Ridderhof Martin Gallery proudly presents, Women by Women: Works from UMW’s Permanent Collection.  UMW Galleries Interns Madeleine Almand, Jasmine Nixon, Julia Pertracca and Alana White worked throughout the semester to curate this exhibition.  After determining a working theme for the show, the interns and our galleries staff chose works from the permanent collection and researched the artists.  After completing the needed framing, the interns designed the exhibition layout and installed the artwork.  They also created promotional materials, wrote detailed explanatory passages for each work, and hosted the exhibition reception, giving them a chance to take part in the entire process of curating a gallery exhibition.   

The galleries are open until April 24, T-F from 10-4, Saturday-Sunday from 1-4.
